The branch was established within the Department of Laser and Optoelectronics Engineering in 2004, as it includes a group of specialties and competent professors. The branch provides scientific knowledge of aspects of optoelectronic engineering up to the relevant designs that include the concepts of optics, devices and their applications, and the branch includes many laboratories from the first stage to the stage The final aim is to integrate practical and technological concepts with the fundamentals of knowledge in this field. The objectives of the branch are focused on preparing the engineering cadres capable of understanding the engineering and technological foundations of optoelectronic devices and striving to develop and transfer scientific knowledge and, support research in the field of optoelectronic engineering, and provide technical advice and scientific support to the sectors of different countries.
