"Femto Second Laser and its Applications"

The Department of Laser and Optoelectronics Engineering held a scientific seminar at Femto second Laser and Its Applications which included four scientific lectures.
The head of the department of laser and optoelectronics engineering, Dr. Mohammed Abdel Wahab Minshid said in his speech: "Our department, since its establishment and its branches (laser engineering branch and optoelectronics branch) has been striving to keep abreast of the development of laser applications. In this day, our seminar includes four specialized scientific lectures in the field of laser. At the end of the seminar recommendations will be written to be a path of interaction and communication in order to serve the society and its institutions.
In conclusion, the scientific seminar recommended focusing on the government departments and the private sector, especially the Ministry of Health, on the importance of using femto second laser in medical and scientific applications, expanding the applied research for postgraduate students in the department and outside it in cooperation with the relevant institutions through joint supervision and focusing on transfer this filed to the laser and optoelectronics department due to it has a important impact to developing the ability of the undergraduate and postgraduate students and in order to open a workshops in this field to showing the importance of the laser and its application in different field.

The Department of Laser and Optoelectronics Engineering will hold a seminar entitled "Femto Second Laser and its Applications" at 9:00 am on Thursday, 23/11/2017, in the main hall - Control and Systems Engineering Department at the University of Technology

The Assistant Professor Dr. Abdelhadi Kadhim in our department has obtained a patent dated October 26, 2017 from the Ministry of Planning - Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control and tagged (smashing the blue methyl acetylene molecules by optical stimulation using nanobibium oxide)

Head of the Department of Laser and Optoelectronic Engineering Prof. Mohammed Abdel Wahab Minshed in cooperation with the Administrative Assistant Prof. Khalid Salem, they published several research papers in five international journals with an impact factor in London. The researches included (experimental measurement of thermal damage zone for laser exposed tissues), (improve the output power from the solar cell using a 32% hemispherical lens) and a research entitled (Design of embedded external technology by radio communication through optical fiber) and the fourth research is (design and construction of a detector based on heterodyne technology through a crystalline sensor). Additionally, they participated in scientific research at the conference of the College of Kut University under the title (measuring the intensity of vertical solar radiation in Baghdad and the results are close to confirm the theory and measurements used)
