A discussion seminars has been hold for Postgraduate students (PhD) / laser engineering branch in our department inside the discussion hall on 7/10/2021.
The five-member committees that follow up the students’ research project plan by discussing the topic of the (Seminar) with the students.
The committee expressed its observations and evaluation, namely:
-PhD student(Aseel Abdul-Ameer Shaghati) on her research named:(Analysis and design of pulsed fiber laser based on nanomaterial saturable absorber for telecommunication systems)

-PhD student(Ahmeed Saleem Falih) on her research named:(Performance enhancement of photoconductive antenna- based terahertz generation and detection using nanotechnology)

-PhD student(Haneen Jabar Dhiaa) on her research named:(Design and implementation of photodiode devices using laser technique)

-PhD student(Ruaa Habeeb Abass) on her research named:(Metallic nanoparticles and laser technique for dental caries treatment)

-PhD student(Qamer Qassim Muhammed) on her research named:`(Utilizing the laser rangefinder equipment and digital imaging system 3D photogrammetric of archaeological sites)

-PhD student(Hadeel Jameel Omran) on her research named:(Synthesis and characterization of Nanomaterials produced by Laser induced plasma and plasma jet techniques.)

  • Within the scientific activities of our department Lec. Dr. (Shams Basil Ali), one of the faculty members / director of the Division of Quality Assurance and
    University Performance, has published a scientific research marked: (Models for sensing by nanowire networks: application to organic vapor detection by multiwall carbon nanotube – DNA films) in association with foreign researchers from the United Kingdom and Nigeria within the (Nanotechnology) magazine indexed in Clarivate
    with a (203 h-index) and within the first quarter.

 

  • Lec. Dr. Shams Basil Ali had been participated in the session named (digital teaching course) to assess the skills acquired in learning and e-learning and blended
    learning, she was graded with (excellent) and she got (10) out of a total of (66) participants, the session was held in the Multimedia and E-Learning Center
